MY Beauty~Beauty Supply was founded by Maureen Yancey, a native of Washington, D.C., after moving to Atlanta in 1994. Having shopped at traditional beauty supply retailers for about 25 years, in Atlanta Maureen became painfully aware of the disparity between how much of the beauty supply industry is not owned by non-Asians and how much money is spent their stores. It was only after one last particularly unpleasant experience in a traditional store that Maureen decided to open her own brick-and-mortar store.
MY Beauty opened it’s doors in 2011 and she gives much of the credit to her faith, of course, and to Devon Robinson who created The Beauty Supply Institute (http://www.beautysupplyinstitute.com).
MY Beauty’s number one focus is customer service and we carry a variety of the leading names in hair care for all ethnicities. We also specialize in carrying those hard-to-find products. Our customer base knows that the staff at MY Beauty will go the extra mile to fill special order requests. Additionally, all staff members are professional master costmetologists that can answer all of your questions and address your beauty concerns.
In August 2014, My Beauty merged with Moodz Ink Luxury Hair and formed My Beauty Unlimited. Adding to the management, JNicolle Willis (www.jnicolle.org), who has over 22 years of cosmetology experience. JNicolle brings a wealth of knowledge as well and business administrative background that is helping take My Beauty to the next level of service and products.
